Alex Beltran is from San Antonio, Texas and participated in the Knowledge for Freedom summer program at the University of Texas San Antonio in the summer of 2024. He graduated from CAST Tech High School in 2025 and currently attends Trinity University, where he plans to double major in Engineering and Literature. A lifelong lover of books, Alex was drawn to the classics at an early age, with One Hundred Years of Solitude profoundly shaping how he views the world. He is a first-generation college student who’s proud to have spent his summer giving back to his community, supporting his family, and growing as a scholar.
