Cynthia Flores was born and raised in Bronx, New York, coming from a Mexican family. During the summer of 2023, she participated in Columbia University’s Freedom and Citizenship program, and in 2024, she graduated from the Urban Assembly for Applied Math and Science. One of her favorite readings in the program at F&C was The Trail and Death of Socrates by Plato. Cynthia currently attends the University of Rochester, where she plans to major in political science. In her free time, she enjoys baking and exploring New York City with her friend Dani, going to boba shops, and reading in the library.
